Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a common cause of respiratory illness in all age groups.
The symptoms include:
- Runny Nose
- Coughing
- Sneezing
- Fever
- Decreased Appetite
- Wheezing
Infectious Period: Typically begins a day or two before symptoms start and goes for 3 to 8 days after symptom onset.
Seasonality: Begins in fall and peaks in winter in most US regions.
